Raena has enjoyed various dance forms since childhood.
But several years ago she stumbled upon bellydance on a
medieval faire stage, drawn by the earthy drum beats.  The
seed was planted and finally, seven years ago, she found a
teacher. Raena fell in love with all aspects of bellydance – the
exotic music, the dramatic costuming, the expressive
movements, and the timeless beauty of this art form.  To make
things even better, she discovered this dance was made for
every woman, and body type.  She teaches bellydance in hopes
of sharing that sense of empowerment and inspiration with
other women.

Samira had never danced before bellydance entered  her
world over seven years ago –  but she hasn’t stopped since!
Having always been drawn to the clothes, jewelry and music,
she felt right at home from the beginning. An unexpected
surprise was discovering the community of sister
bellydancers and the network of friendships that have formed
all over the world. Ultimately, learning to bellydance has been
very empowering, revealing a side of herself that she never
knew was there.
Raena and Samira have enjoyed adding the creative element of bellydance into their everyday lives
as wives and mothers. They have been teaching for over three years and dancing together for many
more.  They began taking lessons together with Jessica Dawn, founder of KismetDance.  They
enjoyed her free thinking, enthusiastic teaching style, and did their best to trust in her belief that
they were capable of bellydancing.  That trust allowed them to delve more deeply in the art form
and eventually accept the invitation to teach it to others.
Over the past several years, they have
take numerous workshops with visiting instructors like Artemis, Asi Haskal, Zahra Zuhair, Mira
Betz, Kami Liddle, Zoe Jakes, as well as amazing local dancers like Sa'diyya, Yeli, Miabella, and
more.
